Not sure if there are 2 individual washer pumps but I'm guessing there are and they are located close to each other. I doubt it's in that switch or the connectors because of the complexity so here's my wild guess. I've had my 4th Gen wiper/washer switch apart. "I think the previous owner might have had some work done it and the mechanic must've reconnected it backwards." Not knowing what work was done doesn't help troubleshoot. ![]() Is this a simple wiring problem fix? If so, what do I do to fix it? But the functions to activate the front and rear washer's are reversed. So it appears like the functions to activate the front and rear blades are as expected. This also activates the rear washer blade. Turning the switch, which normally activates the rear windshield washer actually activates the front windshield washer. Pulling the stick on the steeling column back towards you activates the rear windshield washer but not the rear wiper blade rather than front wiper blades.ΔΆ. I think the previous owner might have had some work done it and the mechanic must've reconnected it backwards. I noticed this morning that my windshield (both front and rear) washer functions controls on the steering wheel are backwards. I'm still new to my 4runner since I've only had it for 2 months.
